Hey guys, welcome to my blog! For those of you who don’t already know me, my name is Chandler Caroline, and I am the star of this show. I am so excited to finally get this blog up and running, and I’m even more excited for those of you who are going to venture in this journey with me.
SimpsonStyles is the first of many projects I’m taking on, making this blog my first baby. Which has been in the making for about a year and a half now, maybe even longer. The reason it took me this long was because I have a specific process, and I really wanted to take my time perfecting my ideas before I just put it out there.
For as long as I can remember fashion has always been a passion of mine. My mom used to dress me up in the cutest little outfits when I was a baby, and as soon as I was old enough to read she would buy me tons of fashion magazines. As I’ve gotten older clothes and fashion have become a huge part of my life. Starting a blog just made the most sense to me, since I’m combining all three of my biggest passions. Fashion, writing, and helping others. Whether you need fashion advice, relationship advice, or just advice on life. Anything you may need, I want to help in any way I can, the best way I know how.
Not only will I be giving you my take on fashion, beauty, life, and love. My hopes are that throughout this experience you will learn more about me, my passions, and what I value the most.

A lot of people can’t justify spending an unnecessary amount of money on a Halloween costume they’re only gonna wear one time. If you’re one of these individuals, or someone who waits last minute to figure out what they’re dressing up as for Halloween, this blog post is for you!!!
It’s easy to make a Halloween costume with items you already own, it saves you money and gives you the opportunity to let your creativity loose!
The idea is to use the clothes you already own, buying very little or even nothing at all. Depending on your costume, you may have to buy some props or accessories, which is ok. The main objective is to save you money, but also give you the same vibe as if you bought your costume from a store!
Some of these costume ideas are a little basic, but that just gives you more opportunity to make it your own, and add some spice! Sometimes it’s ok to take a basic idea, and turn it into something more!
Quick disclaimer before I get into anything else, I own none of these photos! I just got them all off Pinterest!
1. Angel
All you need for an angel costume is something white! Maybe a dress, or matching set, or a corset. The only thing you’ll have to buy is a halo and some angel wings! You could even go as a dark angel, so instead of a white halo and wings you’ll buy black instead! Throw on a cute little black dress from your closet, and you’re good to go!
2. Cupid
For a Cupid costume you could go with all red, red and white, or even red and pink. Buy some wings, a cute bow and arrow, and you’re stealing hearts left and right!
3. Carrie
This is another easy costume, and not as basic as the choices before. All you’ll need is a long dress, a crown and fake blood. I haven’t seen a lot of people do a Carrie costume, so I thought this was pretty unique.
4. Witch
Who said witches had to have pointy noses and green skin? Modern witches carry crystals, manifest and are bad as fuck! Anything black and sexy will make a great witch ensemble! Add a pointy hat, maybe even a book today spells and yore ready to cast some spells!
5. Kill Bill
Kill Bill is a classic, I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve watched both movies! We love a bad ass woman who can also kick ass, literally! All you need to look like Beatrix Kiddo is a yellow set, or jumpsuit, and a samurai sword.
6. Jennifer Check from Jennifer’s Body
Recreate one of Jennifer’s outfits from the iconic Megan fox movie. This outfit specifically is the night she became the flesh eating demon, when her and Needy went to the concert. She was wearing a denim skirt, a cropped tank, stockings, and a coat. You should have all those items in your closet already, minus the denim skirt. Buy some fake blood, and you too, can eat the flesh off of men. Cuz they ain’t shit anyways.
7. Spring Breakers
Everyone owns a pair of sweatpants. Just throw on a bikini, or a crop top. To finish off the look, you can cut some holes into an old beanie. This costume idea is super easy, and you can even make it a group costume!
8. Harry Potter
I’ve never watched a single Harry Potter movie, but I’ve seen a lot of people make their own Harry Potter costumes, so why not add it to the list. You can get a simple button up, and a black skirt. You might have to buy a similar tie and robe to the one Harry Potter wears, or just use a simple black robe.
9. Lara Croft: Tomb Raider
Just like the angel costume, this is another costume that is done a lot. Maybe because it’s so easy to recreate! You can take a solid colored tank or bodysuit, shorts, combat type boots, a body harness or some sort and some fake guns if you’re really trying to go all out!
10. Fairy
I think a fairy costume is really unique, depending on how you dress it up. You can take a cute mini dress from your closet, or a corset. You could be a very colorful fairy, or stick to one color, completely up to you! You could even make your own fairy wings if you’re a diy-expert, and have the time of course!
I hope these ideas help tor those of you who don’t have a costume picked out, or just want to save some money this year on Halloween! Of course there are so many other easy costume ideas, I just didn’t want to use all the basic ideas. Be as creative as you want with your costume, you can never be too extra on Halloween! It also goes without saying, I know a lot of people make their own costumes out of clothes they already own! I feel like some of these costumes would really work well, especially if you’re not trying to spend a lot of money on a Halloween costume. Halloween is for creativity, so get creative!

If you’re like me, finding the perfect pair of jeans can be a hassle. You have to make sure they fit around your hips and booty, but not super big in the waist area. You also have to make sure they go all the way down to your desired length, and aren’t too short. Tall girl problems.
About a year and a half ago, I came across this denim brand on Instagram. Which is basically where I find all the brands I shop at.
Revice Denim, which is based in LA. This brand is all about reviving that cool, sexy, all American individual. They recreate vintage denim silhouettes, but with a more modern twist.
All their jeans are hand-made from the highest quality denim. Denim this quality from other brands will cost you between $200 – $400. At Revice, their jeans are all under $100!
Revice saw that the denim industry was quickly becoming disposable. Fast fashion brands were ruining the quality and creation process of denim. Too many fast fashion brands are compromising the quality for the sake of the current trend, and to make a quick buck. Unfortunately, a lot of us, including myself are guilty of buying quantity or quality!
At Revice Denim, they sell directly to their consumer. And they don’t spend a ton of money on marketing and advertising! Most fashion brands spend a ton on TV commercials, Magazine Ads, Runway Shows, and Celebrity sponsorships. At Revice, they don’t pay celebrities to wear their jeans. Celebrities wear them because they genuinely love them!
They’re a brand created by denim lovers, for denim lovers. They value quality, and their costumers’ money! Are you sold yet?
If not, don’t worry! I’m going to show you some of their jeans that are definitely worth the money! After all jeans are a necessity in your closet, and if you’re going to invest in any piece of clothing, it should be denim!
First let me start off with a pair that I own myself, and that I absolutely love! The fit is exactly how I wish all my other jeans fit, this pair is easily the best pair of jeans I own!
If these jeans look familiar, it’s literally because I wear them all the time. They’re so comfy, the quality is insane, and they fit perfectly. It’s like Revice had all my measurements, and made this pair specifically for me! I bought these last June, and split hem jeans were starting to come back in style. I really wanted a pair, but held off on getting them because I wanted a better quality Jean. I used to wear fashion nova jeans a lot, mainly because they were stretchy, also they weren’t too short on me. I’ve always been a girl of quality though, so when I came across these jeans I had to have them. I still consider this one of my best purchases!
These jeans are called the ‘Uptown/Hello Lover Old Stone Wash’ I paid $61.60 for them. Not too expensive, but the quality reflects in the price! And I can’t stress enough how worth it these jeans are!
The next pair I purchased from Revice were these boyfriend style jeans. Last year I was way thinner, with a 26” waist, and a smaller butt, so these jeans are really tight on me now. When they did fit, they were another perfect pair! Just like the jeans above, they had a really cute, and flattering butt slit that you can’t even see. But I definitely recommend these jeans too!
At the time I only bought two pairs of jeans from Revice, but I’m definitely a returning customer! In fact, let me show you some of the jeans I have my eye on currently!
These are definitely next on my wishlist! I love everything about these jeans, I don’t even have to say much! Just look at them! Next are these light brown/tan pair of flare jeans! But look at the butt! I don’t care how many brands are ripping this off, Revice definitely owns the star on the butt detail. So unique, and flattering! Same flare jeans, but in regular denim. These are an absolute need! I already know I’d get a ton of compliments on these alone! Look at these jeans! So sexy, and flattering! I don’t need to say anything else, I will have them! These look like a pair of your regular everyday jeans right? WRONG! I doubt your regular everyday pair of jeans will have the same quality of these! I just feel like they’d look and feel amazing on me. Lastly are these Farrah jeans. I love the zip/buckle up detail at the bottom of the jeans! So unique! And these are only $49, so I’m definitely going to be getting a pair very soon!
A good pair of jeans can last you years and years! Way longer than the ones you own that are from fast fashion brands! Having at least 2-3 quality pairs of jeans is enough, and it doesn’t have to be anything crazy expensive either! Make sure the jeans are breathable throughout the day, and that the fabric is smooth and comfy, but none of that jagging material!
There’s many reasons why buying quality jeans is better for you and your wallet in the long run. It’s more sustainable, and in the end buying more is buying less.
Revice isn’t the only affordable, luxury denim brand. However, it’s probably by far the cheapest compared to all the others! Their products are definitely unique, and so cute!! Give their website a peek, I’d love to know what you think!
Accessorizing is a big part of fashion, an outfit doesn’t just consist of clothes. Clothes, shoes, and accessories are all the properties that tie an outfit together. Accessories could mean jewelry, handbags, and/or hats.
In due time I’ll talk about hats, and handbags. For right now, I want to get into jewelry!
I would say I wear a good amount of jewelry. I’m really big on necklace stacking, I absolutely love anklets, and I’ll wear a few rings on multiple fingers on both hands. I’m even getting into toe rings, I just haven’t found any I want to spend money on just yet.
Growing up my mom bought me really expensive jewelry. I grew up used to my jewelry not turning no matter what I did, so it’s very annoying to spend any amount on anything, and it doesn’t hold up well. Obviously I can’t buy real diamonds and solid gold for myself, but that doesn’t mean I have to settle for cheap, tarnishable jewelry.
There are a lot of jewelry brands that sell affordable, nontarnishable jewelry that will last you. You’ll be able to wash your hands, or wear your jewelry in the shower, without the fear of it turning.
There’s so many jewelry brands that I love, whether I have a personal experience with the company, or I just admire their pieces. I’m going to show you guys some of my favorite jewelry sites, ranging in pricing, but definitely worth the money!
1. Amy Shehab
I absolutely love this company!! Most of my jewelry is from here, and I’ve owned them for about 3 years now. All the necklaces, and rings I purchased from this brand still look brand new! I wear her pieces all day everyday, including in the shower, and they’ve never turned. Her prices are a little pricey, but worth every penny, and still more affordable than genuine jewelry. Any Shehab is definitely my favorite!
2. 1929 Galore
This brand is black owned, and I don’t know about you guys, but I love supporting black owned businesses! I bought an anklet from them a few months back, and I absolutely love it! Their pieces are very stylish, very fly, and great quality! This brand is a little more on the pricey side, but not too expensive!
3. Vic and Ko
This company was started by two best friends, Mariko and Victoria. I for one, admire besties getting the bag together! I do have experience with this company, and have nothing but great things to say. I purchased a choker, and a bracelet from them about 2 years ago! They’ve never turned, and still look brand new! Their prices are really affordable, and they have sales on their site quite often.
4. Kaeche
I haven’t purchased from this brand yet, but it’s black owned which is a reason to support! I’ve looked at their prices, and they are very affordable. Their jewelry is so cute, and very trendy! It’s giving baddie vibes!
5. Ethereal Jewelry
I’ve had my eye on this brand for a while! A little bit pricey, but very unique pieces. There’s really not much to say, but I do love this brand, and I hope to purchase jewelry from them soon!
6. Fraiser Sterling
This brand makes adorable jewelry that is super affordable! Their specialize in customizable pieces. Their jewelry is very trendy, looks good stacked, or by themselves! I definitely have my eye on a few of their products! They’re also having 30% off the entire site, which is a definite steal!
7. Evry Jewelry
I found this brand on tiktok, and I feel in love with their products. Their jewelry is trendy, and so adorable! Very affordable, and they have cute matching jewelry sets for you and your besties!

Besides Amy Shehab, this is another one of my favorite jewelry brands! I own the “999” angel number necklace, and have been trying to get my heads on a few more. Every time she restocks, her inventory sales out in only minutes! That just goes to show how popular, and loved her brand is!
9. Chvker Jewelry
This brand was started 7 years ago by a broke college student with only $20 worth of supplies. Now her jewelry is worn by many influencers and celebrities, we just love to see a dream come true! The founder is inspired by jewelry from the early 90’s, dainty and minimalistic! They are very affordable, and they are also having 20% off their site! I don’t own any jewelry from this company, but I plan to very soon!

Little Black Dresses are a closet staple, pretty much a necessity if you ask me. You can never have too many LBD’s hanging in your closet, whether it’s for a night out or just a casual day dress.

Black is sexy, sleek, and timeless. As I said earlier, you can never have too many LBD’s hanging in your closet! Black is the new black!
One of the many downsides to fast fashion is that it’s very affordable and easily accessible to a lot of people. I say that’s a bad thing because when these brands get too mainstream, a lot of us end up wearing the same things, or dressing too much alike. I understand though, for those of us who love to shop but can’t afford luxury, or to all the broke college students, it’s convenient.
There are so many other brands out there besides Pretty Little Thing, Fashion Nova, and SHEIN. When it comes to fashion there is nothing wrong with switching things up from time to time, or even all the time! I’m going to share some brands that are just as affordable, and will give you more variety for your closet!

Boohoo has been around since 2006, they drop new styles weekly like the rest of these brands. Their goal is to make fashion accessible so that every girl can have a trendy wardrobe for less! They’re currently having 60% off all styles!

Adika is a brand for trendsetters, girls who aren’t afraid to be spontaneous with their outfits and stand out! A new brand for the new age. Hey y’all. I know it’s been a long time since I last posted on my blog, I can’t even begin to express how sorry I am that it’s been as long as it has.. There’s just been so much going on in the world, and quite frankly, I haven’t been taking the time to write like I should. I made a promise to myself that I would stop making excuses, and start being more consistent. So here I am with another blog post on how to get your wardrobe started.
In my first blog post I gave you guys some tips on how to find your own personal style, as well as sharing my style development throughout the years. Right now we’re going to focus specifically on Tip #2: Finding Your Wardrobe Essentials. Clothing items that go with everything, and make your day-to-day styling so much easier!
If you read the title, which you all should’ve, you know this post isn’t exactly about finding your wardrobe essentials. I’m just going to be sharing my favorite online stores to buy them. I haven’t posted since March, so I figured any blog post is better than no blog post. Plus it gives me some time to write my next one, which will be all about how to find your wardrobe essentials and basics.
Wardrobe essentials or “basics” are clothes that you can wear with trendier items, and will wear time and time again. They can take you from one season to the other with the right accessories. They’re the building blocks to your wardrobe, and without it, your closet will lack substance. I can definitely say that in high school I had no idea what essentials were, I just knew what I liked and what looked good on me. I’ve been obsessed with buying wardrobe basics for the last year, and I’ve noticed a major improvement in my style since. These stores have been my go-to, and hopefully after you finish reading this, you check them out!
First I’m going to start off with Pretty Little Thing, it’s no secret that they’re one of my favorite brands. They’re based in the UK, and they have a wide range of styles, not to mention they’re affordable. A few months ago I discovered that PLT has their own basic section. Whether you have the website of the app, if you click on “Clothing”, then scroll down until you see “PLT Ranges”, at the very bottom you should see “The Basics.” You’ll find tons of clothing items that may not look like much, but it’s all about the styling! If you know me you know I LOVE crop tops, I have so many of the same crop tops just in 20 different colors. I honestly wouldn’t blame you if you went to their website or the app right now to see for yourself.
Next we have Zara. Zara has the best basics, and they’re crazy cheap! I have so many tank tops in various colors that were only $5.99. Cute crop tops that range from $7-$19, it’s a little harder to work your way around their website or app if you’re not familiar with it. If you haven’t really shopped at Zara before try typing in key words like “tank tops,” “crop tops,” or go to the “Sale” section and find what you’re looking for.
Naked Wardrobe is another great place for basics. Started by 3 sisters, and based in Los Angeles. They’re not as affordable as the first two stores, but they’re always having sales. They have $25 Tuesday’s, $15 Friday’s, along with their seasonal sales. The brand is very simple, but sexy and the quality is AMAZING! Very durable, and perfect for your everyday activities. A lot of celebrities like J.Lo, The Kardashians, Lori Harvey, Winnie Harlow, and Ciara have worn their pieces.
I saved the absolute best for last! Joah Brown is a random brand that I found on my explore page on Instagram. I was scrolling through their feed, and there were so many things that caught my eye, so I decided to try them out. I’m not going to lie to you guys, they are pretty expensive, but you do get what you pay for. The quality is top tier, and this brand became one of my favorites in little to no time. They’re also based in Los Angeles, and their brand is all about comfort. Their style is adaptable and subtly sexy with a tomboy flare. They believe that you don’t have to dress feminine to look sexy, and I’m telling y’all right now, they proved exactly that! I feel and look so good in their clothes, I could live in them! Although they’re not affordable, I guarantee that if you visit their website, you will see something you have to have.
No matter your age, wardrobe essentials are a MUST. You can never go wrong with essentials, because they are classic and timeless. They are the OG’s of your closet. Soon (very soon) I will share my wardrobe essentials with you, how I found out what they were based on my style, and tips to help you find yours. With Black Friday literally around the corner, I thought I would share some of my favorite black owned fashion brands that deserve your money!
First and foremost, I want to highlight the importance of supporting small businesses, as well as black owned business. One of the most effective ways to support black people is by buying their products. Another way is getting the word out, or even following their social media.
Like a lot of small businesses, black owned brands are ran by people. They’re not large companies, with boards and stockholders. They’re not worried about marketing, or algorithms. Their products are a reflection of themselves, which means a lot of care goes into production.
Nowadays fast fashion brands are too identical. Selling products that are exactly the same, the only difference being the price. When you shop black you’re getting more exclusive pieces, that are better quality and original.
You know what they say, “Once you go black, you never go back!” Time to get your pockets ready!

An outfit isn’t just about the clothes, the right shoes and accessories can tie the whole look together. Comfortable, but chic sneakers have become a major part of fashion. For a lot of us sneakers have always been apart of our OOTD, whether we’re going to school, running errands, or hanging with friends. Sneakers have been the go-to footwear for multiple reasons, but the number one being comfort. It doesn’t have to be one or the other. You don’t have to sacrifice comfort for the sake of fashion, or vice versa. We can all have the best of both worlds!
I’ve created a list of sneakers that aren’t only comfy, but stylish, and can be worn with just about anything in your closet!
Air Force 1’s– Lets start with the most obvious shoe, shall we? The all white Air Force 1’s are an essential must-have! I think everyone should own a pair of air forces! They go with everything, jeans, shorts, sweats skirts or dresses, you name it! AF1’s come in many different colorways as well, so if you don’t want to be “basic” you can try other colors, except black of course!
Jordans- Whether they’re 1’s, 4’s lows, or highs, Jordans are timeless. They also look really good on women. Way before I bought my first pair of 1’s I had always loved the way they looked. They look just as good on as they do off, and are so stylish! I can’t wait to add more Jordan’s to my collection! You should consider buying some as well, if you don’t already own any!
Yeezys- I feel like you either really like yeezys, or you really hate them. I happen to like them, they’re just crazy expensive! The only yeezys I could actually afford are the slides, which are actually on my list of shoes to buy! They’re expensive, but they’re so dope and I love seeing my favorite female influencers style them. Just like Jordan’s, I personally think yeezys look better on females then on males.
HighTop Platform Converse & The Run Star Hike Converse- Converse is definitely stepping their game up. The high top platforms, and the run star hikes are so dope, and look so comfy too! I’ve been trying to get my hands on the run star hikes for almost a year now, and they’re always out of stock! They look so good on, and are super chic and stylish! They look good with skirts, and dresses, as well as pants! It also adds some height to those of you who are a little on the short side and want to look taller.
Dunk Lows– Dunks are definitely next on my list! Me and my boyfriend were talking last week about how we both want a pair. I love how different and fun some of the colorways are, such as, the community garden dunks, the Travis Scott Cactus Jack ones, or even the Ben & Jerry dunks.
Nike Sacai x LD waffle- I bought the white nylon sacai x ld waffles last March, and I can honestly say it’s the most comfiest shoe I own! They are definitely one of my favorites, and the silhouette of the shoe is so unique! I also love the gold toned aiglets, but y’all know I’m a sucker for gold!
There are lots of other shoes that can add to or elevate your outfits, these happen to be my personal favorites. You can be just as stylish in sneakers as you can in heels, if not more. Remember fashion is what you make of it, and comfort and fashion can go hand in hand!
